News from the Gubernija brewery
Modernisation of the brewery began last year, with the production equipment and laboratory getting a revamp. Some of the equipment has already been installed and the rest is scheduled to be fitted within the next three years.
The addition of new specialists to the production and quality control units has created new jobs. In addition, investments have been made in employee development, with training being organised at other MV GROUP Production factories: Stumbras, Alita and Anykščių Vynas.
Gubernija product and style revamp
Consumers were informed about the changes at Gubernija by the new logos for the brewery and its beer and kvass. The new beer and kvass packaging designs have been visible on store shelves since last year. Brand new Gubernija products have reached Lithuanian stores as well. First and foremost – Gubernija’s Duonos Gira light wheat kvass, which is a natural and exclusive product in the non-alcoholic beverage category, which is growing in Lithuania and abroad. Besides, there is Gubernija’s new non-alcoholic beer, which brewery never offered consumers before.
Celebration for employees
The first people we told about Gubernija’s revamp and the new products and designs were the factory employees, during a picnic that we held for them. MV GROUP Production CEO Algirdas Čiburys and Gubernija production director Gintautas Kanišauskas spoke during the event. First the employees saw the new logo for the Gubernija brewery, and then – so that not only the city of Šiauliai, but all of Lithuania could get a glimpse of the changes and the new logo – the production manager was given a flag with the factory’s new symbol for the entire team to raise high and carry forward.
Gubernija contributes to honouring partisans
In marking the 70th anniversary of the Lithuanian Partisans Declaration, it was decided in Šiauliai to commemorate the date with a beautiful project that Gubernija contributed to. In April, buses covered with pictures of partisans and meaningful quotes hit the streets of Šiauliai, sporting the logos of the local companies that financed the project. The logo for Gubernija’s Duonos Gira kvass was proudly situated next to the image of partisan Petras Bartkus-Žadgaila. Respect for history and freedom as a value are two things that unite Gubernija and this project.
Gubernija at Šiauliai Days
After presenting Gubernija’s revamp to brewery employees, they spread the message about the changes to everyone in Šiauliai. Townspeople learned about the news and tasted the new flavours at the city’s annual festival. On September 6th, Šiauliai’s residents, guests and businesses participated in a spectacular and boisterous parade. It was great to see a large group of colleagues from the Gubernija brewery marching through the streets of the city as well.
