Investments
MV GROUP consistently invests in the digitalisation of processes, the modernisation of technology, sustainability, as well as the well-being and education of the employees. In 2022, investments in various projects amounted to more than EUR 3 million.
Every successful company can be proud of its strategic, investment projects. Investments provide us with opportunities to improve operational efficiency, competitiveness and productivity. Advanced technology and process management give more sustainable solutions, better protection of the environment and conservation of resources, as well as increased team motivation and job satisfaction.
Digitalisation
MV GROUP ERP project
We are continuing our long-term IT upgrade project: replacing our existing software with a new ERP business management system, using the Microsoft D365 Cloud platform. We have completed the first major phase of preparations and are in discussions with the system installers.
The new system capabilities will enable the digitisation and efficiency of business processes, improve planning and supply chain management, and standardise master data at the group level.
MV GROUP Logistics digitisation of shipments
In order to optimise processes, last year we fully digitalised MV GROUP Logistics’ shipping services which will enable us to attract additional customers and provide them with a wider range of services.
Sustainability
Green energy
For several years we have been using 100% green energy in MV GROUP Production factories, and soon we will be able to generate it ourselves in our modern solar power plants installed in Alita and Anykščiių vynas factories. An investment of more than EUR 1.4 million will enable us to continue moving towards energy efficiency and sustainability.
Last year, we signed contracts and completed designing a 0.8MW solar power plant at the Anykščių vynas factory as well as a 1MW solar power plant at Alita. We are planning to carry out the installation work in the spring of this year, and commissioning of the power plants is expected to start as early as during the summer.

Monitoring and management of energy resources
We have started the design of the monitoring and management system for energy resources at the scale of all four MV GROUP Production plants – Alita, Gubernija, Stumbras and Anykščių vynas. The system will allow real-time monitoring of energy resource consumption at the process level and significant optimisation of energy consumption in technological and support processes. The system is scheduled to be operational by the end of 2023.
Modernisation
Process automation in factories
Last year, we signed a contract for the purchase of a system to automate palletising operations at the Alita factory. Starting this summer, all 7 bottling lines in Alytus will be palletised using the new equipment. This means no more manual stacking of pallets for the products we produce. This process optimization is expected to pay off in less than 8 years and the investment, including the preparation of the necessary infrastructure, amounts to more than EUR 2 million.
Automation of palletising processes is also planned for the Stumbras and Anykščių vynas factories – we have prepared and selected contractors in 2022, and this year we plan to fully implement the upgrade.
These projects will optimise the operation of factories, thereby increasing production and sales. Automated processes will significantly ease working conditions and address the recruitment challenges of the market by significantly reducing staff turnover.
Investments in the Gubernija factory
During 2022, we modernised the brewing technology at the Gubernija brewery in Šiauliai. This investment amounted to approximately EUR 1.3 million.
Modernisation of the Gubernija boiler house has been launched as well. The replacement of heat generation (steam) plants with more efficient ones has been planned, thus significantly reducing the need for energy resources for heat production. The project is scheduled to be implemented by May this year.
