Factory initiatives in the regions
There are four MV GROUP Production factories – in Kaunas, Alytus, Anykščiai and Šiauliai. We have been a part of these regions for decades, and in some cases even for centuries, so we understand that open and mutually cooperative relations with local communities are an important part of a harmonious everyday life.
In 2022, we continued our commitment to contribute to the well-being of our cities and communities: we initiated the creation of works of art, supported sports clubs, contributed to local initiatives, cultural events, and beautified the environment by planting trees.
Gubernija
New artwork in Šiauliai symbolising the unity of Lithuania and Ukraine
On 14 May, another edition of the Gubernija initiative “Locals for Locals!” idea in Šiauliai – to paint over the Soviet legacy on the house at 19 Ežero str. The project is called “For Our Own! For Ukraine!”, and the new work of street art is an original, large mural expressing the unity and support of the citizens of Šiauliai for Ukraine.
The unique initiative “For Our Own! For Ukraine!” artwork over a week was created by Linas Kaziulionis, an artist recognized in Lithuania and abroad, who created a mural of this size in Šiauliai for the first time.
On the last day of the painting, Šiauliai residents were invited to add the last touches of paint, interact with the Ukrainian community, have their picture taken in front of the mural and enjoy time spent meaningfully.

Partnership with Šiauliai sports teams
We continued our partnership with the representatives of Šiauliai sports – rugby club Baltrex, football team FA Šiauliai, basketball club BC Šiauliai and women’s and children’s football club Gintra!
Gubernija constantly strives to maintain a close relationship with the city community and to contribute in various ways to its well-being and that of the Šiauliai region – to inspire, encourage and guide them to their wins.
The supported sports are particularly important for Šiauliai. Rugby is one of the most prominent symbols of Šiauliai, representing the region not only in Lithuania, but also abroad, basketball is the most popular sport in the whole country, uniting us for victories, and football is one of the most promising sports, where the talents need support in order to flourish.
Alita
Alytus Design Week partner
The Alytus Design Week exhibition kicked off on 25 May, showcasing the evolution of design in local industries. We participated in the exhibition together with Alita, and exhibited historical labels of our products and examples of old packaging and logos.
Planting pine trees in Alytus Žalioji Street
In September, we took part in a wonderful initiative in the town of Alytus – the Green Dinner, where funds for planting pine trees in the town were raised. Later, a fantastic team of Alita employees rolled up their sleeves and joined the organisers in planting the pine trees.
Anykščių vynas

On August 6, the Anykščių vynas factory courtyard welcomed live music lovers with the most enjoyable songs of ‘Daddy Was a Milkman’. We are delighted to welcome a large number of guests and enjoy the special atmosphere that the Anykščiai Culture Festival “Purpurinis vakaras” presents every year.
A gift for Anykščiai – a sakura orchard
From now on, Anykščiai residents will be able to enjoy the sakura every spring! On behalf of Anykščių vynas, we donated an orchard of 20 sakura trees, planted by the employees of the factory, to the town. We hope that the blooming orchard on Darius and Girėnas Street will make a pleasant place to stroll for the residents of Anykščiai and the town’s visitors. Japanese cherry blossoms will not only delight the eyes, but will also symbolise the created trade links between Anykščiai and far away Japan.
